At this point, I'm really just messing with Kim. As you may recall, my dear friend hates leopard print. After yesterday's spotted outfit post, she actually sent me a text that said, "F***ing leopard print Keiko da**it" - just like that. She was apparently so angry, she forgot to use punctuation.

Now, I love my Kimberly but I also like to push her buttons. It's just what we do (in good fun, of course). So, Kimberly, this post is for you. I was originally wearing a black button up but would have been remiss to overlook this opportunity to mess with you. Leopard, leopard, leopard! :)

p.s. This isn't a great "after" picture of my hair (full update later) but this is my new color and slightly updated cut. Subtle changes can make a big difference!

I've always loved leopard print but I've been wearing (and buying) even more of it, lately. I can just see Kim gagging a little, because she hates leopard print - and all animal prints. She thinks they're tacky. But this is coming from a girl who loves her glitter, rainbows and tiaras all at once and in large quantities, so we'll call it a wash. Tacky one and tacky two; I guess that's why we make such great friends.

Leopard print always reminds me of Peggy Bundy, in the best way. I always loved that lady. I love her even more on Sons of Anarchy. Who knew Peggy Bundy would turn out to be so bad-a**?!

I forgot to put my photos on my laptop before leaving for Florida, so I didn't get a chance to post these photos from the day of the CVS Beauty Club Beauty Board luncheon in San Diego. Kimbly was downright harassing me for them ("Where are those photos, b?!"), so I'm sure she will be pleased that I finally got around to it. I have a million or maybe even a billion more photos for Kim, so make sure to check out her blog a little later. She loves company.

Which reminds me, I believe she might be coming to visit in a couple of weeks! And then I will be going to Los Angeles, hopefully in late October, so I'm pretty excited about the next couple of months. I'll also be turning twenty-seven in less than a month and I'm not completely thrilled about that...but let's just gloss over that for now. On the bright side, I made a list of cakes and pies that I want for my birthday. Yes, plural.

I became beyond intrigued about Yaffa Café after seeing photos on 10.17 of their leopard print walls. Yes, leopard print walls. I am obsessed with leopard print anything so when I saw those walls I was like, ok, MUST go there! The above snap is just a tiny peek of the restaurant and its incredible décor. Apparently the food's pretty good too, which is always a bonus (I read that their brunch is a staple among East Village dwellers). Next time I'm in NYC (hopefully sooner rather than later), I will definitely be making a stop at Yaffa.

I fear I'm suffering from cabin fever at the moment; I have only left my immediate neighborhood twice since I returned from Florida and you're looking at one of them. I have had a lot of sewing to catch up on and with only one properly functioning hand, it takes about three times as long to complete a garment. As a righty, I find it extraordinarily difficult to cut, hand-stitch, pin or even write out mailing labels with my left hand. It's driving me crazy. Fortunately, Bobby has been assisting me whenever possible. Unfortunately, with his schedule and limited to no sewing knowledge, it's practically never possible. How inconsiderate of him to have his own career and no expertise in my own field. How rude.

I was hoping to have a moment away from the frustration yesterday, when I finally had a great excuse to get out of the house for Tory Burch's Pre-Fall presentation. Naturally, things went awry and I ended up staying home. The hot water wasn't and still isn't working (I can't function/look decent without a shower) and my keys were nowhere to be found. A few hours after I had already given up and resorted to watching a couple episodes of Hoarders and subsequently tidying up the apartment, I discovered them beneath my cat Vester. I don't know why I didn't think to look under him in the first place. He is a rather large cat.

Do you think he was trying to hold me hostage? Kitties can be such devious little creatures. I wouldn't put it past him to wreck the hot water heater, either. They do have a history of hating baths.
