Snow White

Outfit Details:
Troubador Maxi Dress - c/o Spotted Moth
hat - Gap
bag - c/o Rebecca Minkoff
La Curva sandals (on sale right now) - c/o Blowfish Shoes
vintage glasses - Guvnor's Vintage (got them fitted with prescription lenses  at LensCrafters the other day)

If I had a dollar for every time someone has said, "B**** thinks she's Snow White," I would have a dollar. But if I had a dollar for every time I actually did think or wish I was Snow White, I could make it rain.  I haven't yet taught my animal crew how to clean but rest assured, I am working on it.

p.s. Don't forget to come out and see us tomorrow, at the Blogger Closet Raid. We'll have a lot of really great stuff to sell!

summer lovin'

Outfit Details:
ADAM pleated chiffon and lace maxi skirt - gift from ADAM
white t-shirt - gift from Lilla P
belt - from a Cynthia Vincent grab bag (I won it at an event hosted by Lindsey)
La Curva sandals - gift from Blowfish Shoes (code BFKEIKO15 for 15% off)
vintage sterling and gold elephant ring - from my mom's store, Hourglass Consignment
rhinestone ring - Forever 21
cuff - LOFT (it's no longer available but I found a cool alternative here)
Era sunglasses - gift from Juicy Couture
Rebecca Minkoff MAC Clutch - gift from Rebecca Minkoff
lipstick - MAC pro longwear lipcreme in Unlimited

Last week, the folks at ADAM invited a group of us to their store to pick out an ensemble and meet Adam Lippes. Needless to say, we were like kids in a candy store. Christina picked out a knock-out sequin gown, Jenni decided on a neon dress, Karen went for a dreamy white maxi dress - I don't think any two people walked out with the same thing. I ended up picking this beautiful lace and chiffon maxi skirt and a red silk and chiffon blouse, which you'll see later. I guess this skirt is a little fancy for a day that mainly involved walking around the Brooklyn Flea, but with a plain white t-shirt and sandals, it was the perfect, most comfortable summer ensemble. But enough about clothes - did I tell you we met a cat on a leash? His name is Biscuit, and he loves long walks around Carroll Gardens. He just came right up and plopped down next to us. He's already on youtube.

mess in a dress

Outfit Details:
Coach Tyler Moto Jacket - gift from Coach
Jill Stuart Collection dress - Beacon's Closet
belt - thrifted
rings - Beacon's Closet and Accessorize
bangles - Alex and Ani
Gimmik platforms - gift from Blowfish Shoes
Ariana top handle messenger - gift from Melie Bianco
lipstick - Dior Addict in Diorkiss

I don't think I've ever worn a maxi dress before I got this dress, but after wearing it, I went hunting for another. I found this great floral chiffon dress at Beacon's Closet and wore it the next day. Within the first few hours of wearing it for the very first time, I managed to rip a big hole in the dress by rolling over it in my chair. It was on a seam and easily fixed, but I still had to walk around the city with a gaping hole in my dress, all afternoon. This is why I can't have nice things.

Fat Cat and Mary Poppins

Outfit Details:
Robinson Tote - gift from Tory Burch
sweater - thrifted
lace collar shirt (I always wear this, I know!) - H&M
tights - DKNY
Garren platforms - gift from Blowfish shoes (these are so comfy)
scalloped hem skirt - H&M
fat cat - Vester

This picture of Vester makes him look so fat. Don't get me wrong, he's pretty large and in charge, but he's less of a butterball and more of an all around massive cat. I think he's part lion, or maybe bear. He kept trying to get in the picture, by way of snagging my tights and skirt, so I had to pick him up. In retrospect, I should've know right then and there that Miku wasn't feeling well (these were from Friday, the day I took her to the emergency vet), because the past two days she didn't even try to get in the pictures - she just slept right through them. Luckily, she seems to be feeling much better already. I have been feeding her boiled chicken and rice and will slowly start introducing normal food in the morning. We're still waiting on test results, which were supposed to be ready yesterday - but at the very least, I'm just happy that little Miku is feeling better.

I'm a little bit in love with this new Robinson Tote that was sent to me by the Tory Burch team; it's like a Mary Poppins bag that fits your whole life. It fits my laptop and camera, which has eliminated the need to carry around several bags when the job calls for it, but I haven't tried putting a lamp inside...yet. I'll let you know how that goes.

Though this weekend left me in a blur, I promise I will be posting Makeup Monday. I just have to actually photograph it, first. Give me some time to pick up some stuff from the pet store, finish this dress, and do a quick makeup look - and I will have something new for you!

p.s. My cat wasn't the one who was sick - I was talking about Miku, my puppy! Sorry for the confusion.
