A group of us (Christine, Lindsey, Helena, Tess and myself) were invited (by Refinery29) to the DVF SoHo store for a little dress up time. We each had to showcase and create an outfit around a particular pair of shoes. Be sure to check out how all of the ladies styled themselves and vote for your favorite. Joy Cioci

I've been absent for a few days due to two reasons: rarely being home and having the worst internet, ever. It tends to drop out at night, and that's the only time I've had free.

Luckily, however, it seems to be working at the moment (knock on wood). All the better, since I couldn't wait to share these photos with you from. My last show of the day, Joy Cioci,
was perhaps my favorite so far, with its simply beautiful collection and romantic hair and makeup. Sometimes the most straightforward clothing is my favorite; I like looking at a collection and thinking how I would wear the hell out of each and every piece.

Nine West Runway Relief: Behind the Scenes

I've been hanging onto these photos since May, when I attended the Nine West Runway Relief shoot to capture some behind the scenes shots. The Nine West Runway Relief Program raises funds and awareness for the CFDA's charitable organization, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC). While on the set, I had the chance to meet (and fall a little bit in love with) spokesmodel Carolyn Murphy, who donated her time and a financial contribution toward the program.

I also had a chance to chat with Nigel Barker, who photographed the campaign, as well as several of the other models who, as you can probably tell, seemed to be having a blast on this shoot for a wonderful cause. Each participating model will be outfitted with a pair of limited edition Runway Relief boots from Nine West, along with a fitbit to track each step they take during fashion week, from castings and fittings to after parties and beyond. Nine West will donate $1 for each mile they walk, along with a designated donation - and all of the proceeds from the sales of the limited edition boots, tank top (designed by Leslie Fremar) and messenger bag will go to FTBC. You can also make a contribution by sponsoring a participating model here or donating directly.

Alta Cucina

Knowing that Bobby likes to cook and I like to eat, a friend of mine invited us to attend a cooking class at Alta Cucina, as guests of Rue La La. The cooking class was offered as a part of their local picks, which hosts exclusive events for their members.

Our group was taught by Vito Polosa, owner and chef of Aroma

. He took us through the menu step by step and we created a nice little meal, together as a group. Apparently we messed up the cake but it still tasted pretty good. I started to get a little impatient throughout the course, because 1) I was starving and 2) I'm not really into cooking. But even though I plan on leaving the cooking to Bobby from now on, it was a really fun night and we enjoyed ourselves. Since I make Bobby go to the occasional fashion/beauty related event, it was nice to be at something more in his realm.


p.s. True story: When we were driving home, we saw that there wasn't a line at Shake Shack in Madison Square Park. After a full meal, Bobby stopped the car and got Shake Shack. If you know the usual line at Shake Shack, you probably understand the reasoning behind this. I definitely had some cheese fries. It was necessary!

Tiffany & Co. : What Makes Love True

I think it's safe to say that Tiffany & Co. are masters of events. I wasn't sure anything could top actually having breakfast at Tiffany's, but they really outdid themselves with this one. In celebration of the launch of their new site, What Makes Love True, Tiffany & Co. took a group of us on a tour of some of their favorite, most romantic spots in the city. We started at Tiffany's on Wall Street, made our way over to Italian Wine Merchants and finished the night at Raines Law Room. I loved their romantic spots so much, I can't wait to explore the rest of their suggestions. It was a rainy night, but they made sure we each had an umbrella as we headed off in the bus. Luxury field trip!






Italian Wine Merchants has a two person dining nook where couples can eat by candlelight. I wonder how many proposals have taken place there! We stuffed ourselves silly with delicious cheese, bread, olives, fish and risotto.

We wrapped up our night with cookies, chocolates and drinks at Raines Law Room. While everyone had their cocktails, they were kind enough to make me a delicious non-alcoholic drink to sip on - strawberry and ginger soda. Delicious.


Craig and Bobby were the only guys there, other than Carson from Tiffany's. What lucky guys!
