today is my real birthday

so i thought i'd celebrate with my favorite margiela photo. this one's a throw back.

AW 91/92

this is one of the first things that made me fall in love with margiela years ago and one of the first things that really made me feel like design didn't have to be about mainstream and the norm. i had been doing stuff like this since i was in grade school and i suppose when i saw this it really hit home and set me on a career path of sorts. inspiration comes from a variety of sources and even when you feel like such an outsider, there is always someone out there like you.

on a completely random side note, i just had deja vu.
