Did my monthly crawl-out-of-the-cave and went to an art show to support my man's brother. It was a group show entitled Up From Ground at an old warehouse in Echo Park. The space seemed strangely familiar and then as soon as I spotted the chained-off hole dropping down to the lower level, I immediately recognized it as the space that the OK GO This Too Shall Pass video was shot in. I'm not really into OK GO, but this video is really incredible. It features a Rube Goldberg machine (which my brother and I were obsessed with as children) that is synchronized to the song and apparently took months to build and shoot in one pass - as evident by the i-cant-even-be-excited-im-so-tired faces at the very end.

the area I'm standing in (above photo) appears at the 1:58 mark in the video
