Pixeldude and I spent Thanksgiving with his family at his cousin's house in Laguna. They live in the hills with an ocean view, yeah pretty whatever. We got out of the car, saw an empty lot at the end of the cul-de-sac and looked at each other.

My moment had finally come. The sun was shining, my fancy DSLR was on hand, I was family-day-presentable - it was the perfect opportunity for some glamour shots chock full of lens flares. I too could finally have a sunlit halo around my silhouette. It was truly mystical. I was caught off guard when all these little guys crashed the party. Who knew they'd show up in optimum shooting conditions?
