What would essentially be McQueen's swan song, this collection is the culmination of an enormously successful, albeit too-brief career. Inspiration was drawn from the Middle Ages, when religion was the epicenter of the world and people believed in the existence of angels and demons. The garments, replete with beautiful ornate beading, intricate embroidery, delicate prints and religious iconography, echoed costumes worn by the subjects of medieval artwork. And, not unlike said artwork, Lee McQueen's final exquisite collection should be on display in a museum for everyone to see.
