NYLON Japan Appearance!

Huzzah! I finally got my hands on the December issue of NYLON Japan! Now you can sorta see what my dorm room is like

in the Room & Inspiration compilation, you can see the Buddha my boyfriend gave me as a gift for my dorm, my Minolta 35mm film camera, my skullcandy houndstooth headphones and a print of a self-portrait I did for one of my photo classes

Redhouse Project

I can't remember if I've shown y'all this before, but here are some shots from the wonderful Redhouse shoot from back in February.

Michael Sakas and Michael Donn0r are two great artists I've had the pleasure of working with, and this shoot was not only inspiring in terms of styling (as done by my soul sistah Molly Hoeltke), but it got me to appreciate film photography when doing an extensive project like this one. We have processed color film and made prints in my own photo classes here at Parsons, and I have had this shoot on my mind since. The whole shoot was done on film! Over 600 rolls of it! There is something so delicate about each frame and I'm so happy to say I was a part of this fabulous project.

The whole shoot was based off of this idea of youth and freedom. Sort of like a frozen memory. The loose storyline was that myself and 3 other girls were spending a get away in a cabin, being young and curious about the delicate world around us. The feeling was inspired by Fiona Apple's video for Criminal, which is also pretty rad.

Snow Days & Gilt Invites

Today we were struck with quite a few inches of snow, giving me time to sleep in & then lounge around the house in my nifty Corpus romper that I found on GiltFuse.com a few months back



So it was a pretty lazy day. I read a bit about the Marchesa Castati, watched vids from fashion week and drank absurd amounts of tea

Top Layer

You guys, I looked out the window this morning and there was snow flutterin' on by. This is the last time I'll be donning bare legs again for a while, that's for sure!

This cardigan is way warmer than I thought it'd be! The only issue I have with it is that the sleeves lose shape pretty quickly and become loose after a few hours, but no biggie. It's cold. I like fleece when it's cold.
